What Managed covers
- 01Weekly patching
Security updates within hours of release, everything else in a weekly window, kernel reboots included. Snapshots first, checks after.
- 02Restore drills
A real restore to a test machine on a schedule, timed and written up, so "can we recover?" has an answer.
- 03Priority incidents
When something breaks, you reach me directly. Fix first, then a short write-up of why.
- 04Runbooks
Plain-English notes for every routine job and every scary one, kept with you, not in my head.
- 05Small changes
New sites, users, firewall rules, certificates, cron jobs: the everyday requests, handled.
Planned, and written down
Changes happen when your clients or customers won't notice, and you know when they are.
A change note after each window and an incident note after each problem.
End-of-life dates, capacity, cost and newer, cheaper server types worth moving to, with the next things to fix in order.

Questions
How is Managed different from Oversight?
Oversight watches and reports. Managed does the work as well: the patching, the restore drills, the fixes and the incidents.
Do you work out of hours?
Patching and reboots happen in an agreed maintenance window, often early morning or evening. Out-of-hours incident cover is agreed per client.
What happens in an incident?
Monitoring usually tells me first. Otherwise you call or message me directly, on Slack, Teams, email, Telegram or WhatsApp. I fix it, tell you what happened in plain English, and write down how to stop it happening again.
Why "from" £600?
The price depends on your setup and how much hands-on work it needs. You get a written quote after a short call.
Tell me what you're running.
A 15-minute call. You describe the servers; I tell you whether I can help and what it would cost.
