Questions
What's the difference between this and a fractional CTO?
A fractional CTO usually covers product, hiring and the whole technical strategy. This role is narrower and deeper: the infrastructure your product runs on, owned properly, by someone who also does the hands-on work.
Do you join our chat and meetings?
Yes. I'm in your team's Slack, Teams, Google Chat, email, Telegram or WhatsApp, wherever your team talks, and I join the meetings where infrastructure matters: planning, incidents, customer security reviews.
Can you help with ISO 27001 or Cyber Essentials?
With the infrastructure side of them: the controls, the evidence and the answers to the auditor's questions about servers, patching, access, backups and logging. I'm not a certification body.
Why "from" £1,000?
The price depends on how much of the role you need. You get a written quote after a short call.
Need someone senior on the servers?
A 15-minute call about your stack and what's coming up. If a fractional lead isn't right, I'll say so.
